Atlanta Educator Launches National Campaign to Help Independent Mortgage Brokers Combat Automated Lending

ATLANTA, GA -- May 26, 2026

As rate-shopping apps and algorithmic lenders erode the traditional mortgage broker's advantage, independent loan originators face a critical choice: adapt or be commoditized.

To help local professionals pivot from transactional order-takers to high-value, trusted local experts, Atlanta-based educator Tricia McIntosh, creator of MLO Advantage, has launched a national initiative built around National Mortgage Brokers Day, the annual industry holiday created by AIME (Association of Independent Mortgage Experts) and observed every July 18. The campaign aims to give local originators the marketing and operational infrastructure usually reserved for massive corporate banks.

"Most independent mortgage loan originators let National Mortgage Brokers Day pass without a single client touchpoint or local media anchor," says McIntosh. "We are changing that by giving them a structured playbook to show up confidently in their local communities, prove their unique value, and secure local market share."

The centerpiece of the initiative is the National Mortgage Brokers Day Toolkit, a free 25-page operational resource available to any mortgage loan originator. It includes:

  • A 7-Day Local Social Media Strategy: A complete content calendar spanning July 12–18 with ready-to-post captions, Instagram Reel scripts, and visual templates.
  • Client Engagement Frameworks: Omnichannel communication scripts via email, text, and phone designed to re-engage past clients and real estate referral partners.
  • A Local Media Outreach Kit: Pre-formatted pitch templates and interview preparation guides to help individual brokers secure coverage in their local news markets.

Brokers who access the toolkit by Thursday, July 9, 2026, will receive automatic entry into the National Mortgage Brokers Day Virtual Celebration on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM ET. The event features a keynote address by McIntosh, followed by a financial-mindset fireside chat with a certified money mindset coach.

Due to the interactive networking format, virtual seating is limited to 150 participants.

Mortgage loan originators can access the free toolkit and register for the virtual celebration at mloadvantage.com/nmbd

 Speaker Bio

Your Host - Tricia McIntosh, CFP®

Tricia McIntosh spent seven years as a mortgage loan originator across nonprofit, correspondent, retail, and private banking channels before building MLO Advantage, a national training platform helping mortgage professionals build six-figure practices through specialization, systematic lead generation, and strategic positioning.

She built her own origination business not by having the most experience or the best market, but by doing what most MLOs never do: she specialized. She out-earned originators with twenty years in the industry. Then she documented exactly how she did it.

MLO Advantage exists because the strategies that build a thriving mortgage practice aren't complicated, they're just not being taught anywhere else.

"July 18 already existed. Most MLOs just didn't know it was theirs. I'm changing that."

Your Fireside Chat Guest - Jillian Minter

Jillian Minter is a business and money mindset coach who blends practical business strategy with deep energetic work, to help entrepreneurs break through the invisible patterns keeping them from the income and lifestyle they desire.

Her approach is built on a simple premise: making more money isn't just about what you do, it's about who you are while you do it. For mortgage professionals operating in a high-pressure, commission-driven environment, that distinction matters more than most people realize.

On July 18, Tricia sits down with Jillian for a fireside chat exploring the inner game of building a thriving mortgage practice, and what shifts when you stop working harder and start working aligned.
